Raksha Bandhan is celebrated normally on Poornima thithi. Poornima thithi begins at 10.37 am and will remain up to 7.06 the next day. Hence it’s logical to celebrate Raksha Bandhan on 11 august. The time of Raksha Bandhan can be further modified based on individual Rashi or Lagna. Few people also follow choghadiya method which is also in good practice. Especially in the business community. Raksha Bandhan is quite popular in the northern part of India compared to south India.
